Re: Inside the Indian village where a mob killed a man for eating beef
That is religion for you. What is sacred for one religion won’t be sacred for another. Some religions consider a human being born circa 2040 years ago the son of god. Another religion consielders a human being born circa 1400 years ago a prophet. Another religion says there was a prophet after that. The previously mentioned religion considers this blasphemy. One religion thinks each time Brahma closes and opens his eyelids, millions of years have passed. One religion believes in Shiva AND Vishnu. While the other religion rejects Shiva. Then there is Scientology. Some would say Buddhism makes the most sense. Till you see the violence in Indonesia inspired by this religion. And maybe even in Sri Lanka.
Point here is, if you start finding lack of logic in ANY religion, you leave your religion open to similar findings from those of another religion.
None of this changes the barbaric acts of this mob instigated by their priest.
That is why Religion has become an evil force in today’s society. And should never be allowed to interfere in governance.
What i meant to say is how could they consider it more sacred than a human. How could it make sense that they killed someone whilst they are against killing a certain species. Either way Islam makes more sense then hinduism in my opinion.
