What i meant to say is how could they consider it more sacred than a human. How could it make sense that they killed someone whilst they are against killing a certain species. Either way Islam makes more sense then hinduism in my opinion.

Thank you for clarifying what you meant. In the initial post, it read “How can cows be considered sacred…” (not more sacred than humans)

Of course what this priest and mob did was barbaric. They misused religion. While such elements have always existed everywhere including India, the election of Modi has provided more oomph to such murderers and religious bigots.

Re your last sentence, since you are a Muslim - probably a practising Muslim- that Islam makes more sense to you I think is totally par for the course.

However, it appears to me you are using actions of this mob to further affect your perceptions and biases. And that is not very Islamic.
