I am a big fan of PTV's entertainment programmes (do you even know the difference b/w that and news programming), but now that new channels are emerging, with better programming and news, people (who are already fed up with the wazi-e-azam and musharraf-namas) will stop watching it.
What contradiction. I merely said I like PTVs entertainment lineup, and with the introduction of better channels, people will stop watching it. Not everyone is a big fan of the state controlled musharrafnama like you are. Wheres the contradiction in that.

You claim PTV has good quality programes and in your next post you equate PTV with dark ages.

Exactly. Which implies that the PTV programes are lagging behind in quality. Does it not? Why else would people stop watching it? :)

Have you seen how PTV constantly shows the same old boring music videos repeatedly, whereas channels like IM and the Muziq offer a much bigger selection? Two or three years ago, what PTV is showing now would have been fine, but not anymore.
Open your eyes, the world is moving on. Did you see how Geo covered the assasination attempt news of the president, right on the spot, whereas PTV had to wait till their idiotic musharrafnama to report it.
They should start up a parliamentary and senate channel like BBC Parliament with live broadcasts of sessions and committee meetings. Really bring politics and accountability sentiment to the people.

Exactly. I hope they do it for every provincial assembly, for the Parliament, and the senate.

They show the parliament sessions on PTV at night, though not live and are edited conveniently. However, I am sure the audience count for PTV drops to zero at that time.
