I hate to keep harping on this…but nobody has really answered. As I said, i thought these teams would keep their distance. But they seem to be hanging out with each other all the time. Am i the only one surprised? Is this stuff expected? I think its cool.

The answer to your quest is quite simple.
These tow nations have been kept apart for so long that India thinks Pakistan is a country where people sit on Bail-gari to go places.
Both teams have played each other on various international venues and matches. therefore its not strange them mixing up like this.
Pakistan know indians very well because of the liberal Sat-lite chnls.
Indian concept about Pakistan is so wrong and negative that you have to go the politics forum to find out more about this…

Huh? I'm not talking about the Indian opinion of Pakistan, that is irrelevant. I'm talking about these two cricket teams knowing each other well enough to actually socialize with one another. I was a bit surprised that they were socializing with each other.
