Re: India's current fast bowling attack - VERY WEAK
^ Giant saab, you seem to have an "educated and well-informed opinion" about Sreesanth so I will not dispute it.
Having said that, I did not mean to suggest that I find Sreesanth's bowling quite as repulsive as Agarkar's (well Agarkar too did a fair job in the recent ODI series...but that's another story).
I saw Sreesanth at length in the Pak tour and then in the away test series against West Indies. In the WI series, he was our lead bowler (Zaheer/Pathan were both injured or dropped, if I remember correctly). Sreesanth (just like VRV) was bowling all over the place and hardly did justice to his responsibility and as I have said elsewhere, he bowled recklessly when India needed to take just 1 wicket to win the test match (which India couldn't in the end). Also, I have seen him bowl in several ODIs since and he was, quite simply put, not impressive. Plus, his other well-known antics always gets to me. I will admit though that I did not follow the SA series on TV (actually barely even on the web).
Anyways, for our team's sakes, I hope that your opinion about Sreesanth is right and that he gives a good account of his bowling in England.
Re: India's current fast bowling attack - VERY WEAK
I hope so too. The most disturbing aspect about our fast bowling to me has been the chronic injuries - starting with Balaji and Nehra and now Munaf and even Sreesanth, seems like every time we get some promising talent, they get injured. (Everyone except Agarkar, that is :-)

lol you brought ur hatred of agarkar from nowhere
Anyways i had a feeling you havent watch sreesanth bowl and you sort of confirmed it. West indies was a long time ago, hes better, but still young. He beats the bat, gets a lot of any pitch, i always feel he gets unlucky in terms of picking up wickets. But save the judgement for after the SERIES and put away the bias and close your eyes when hes doing his mantra and just watch him bowl. Dont come back here after the 1st day of the test and open a thread saying how much sreesanth sucks and how he should never be in the indian team ever again.
Re: India's current fast bowling attack - VERY WEAK
Wow...looks like Sreesanth has a decent fan following here. I sincerely hope he lives up to the high expectations of you guys.
And Pidbull Jee....I have seen enough of Sreesanth...just not in the SA series where he supposedly scaled new heights. The only image I have of that series (from YouTube) is that of Sreesanth doing a war-dance after hitting Nel for a six.
As for Agarkar, my opinion about him is well-known around here. I just wanted to clarify that I don't view Sreesanth similarly.
Re: India's current fast bowling attack - VERY WEAK
RP Singh and Seresanth I know, but who are Ishant Sharma and Ranadeb Bose?
2 new medium pacer in Indian team.
Ishant had a very ordinary debut In Bangladesh.I found him very ordinary.I think Pathan, Nehra or VRV would have been better choice in place of Ishant.
I am yet to see Ranadeb bowl. But he had 2 very successful season in Domestic Cricket while playing for Bengal. But this idea of having Bangali fast pace bowler is hard to digest. But he looks tall and strong ;)
