what makes one freedom fighter a doer of good, and another a doer of evil?
i can rattle off an endless list of crimes and atrocities committed by the “good” freedom fighters in kashmir, just like you can list bombings by BLA freedom fighers.

LOL, I see a lot of Indians having fun by poking in Pakistan's internal affair; for the longest time it was India which was on the defensive trying to treat kashmir as an internal issue. Now it's Pakistan's turn, though the Balochistan situation is not as complex and dire as Kashmir, but some Indians must be definately licking their lips - "ab aaya oont pahad ke neeche". I can also imagine a lot of Indians adding Balochistan sites as bookmarks, even though they cannot empathize with the Balochistanis, the same goes for Pakistans with regards to Kashmir.
Heck, how many of you Pakistanis/Indians really feel the pain of the Kashmiris/Assamese/Balochistanis? I for that matter do not feel their pain, I can understand their situation but I cannot "really" (if you know what I mean) identify with them. The only reason why everyone (majority) is so interested in these issues is because it's a national issue.
Are there any NGOs supporting the independent kashmir movement in India? I'll be happy if there exists such a group, whereas I cannot even think of the existence of such a group in Pakistan though (for Balochistan).
Sometimes I wonder, if the classification of the masses on the basis of nation/religion/state etc has forced them to not use their conscience and mind while expressing their opinion on isssues like these. I understand the positives and the human tendency of identifying with a certain group, but does it always help? One related example that I can think of is Islam (I am not bashing Islam here). Islam wants to unite all the muslims in the world as one group (Ummah ????), please correct me I am wrong with the concept of Ummah. But such a world order is not possible, a nation has to precede a religion.
I believe USA is one country which lets people express their opinions freely to a greater degree and I want India to emulate it in this regard.

it might be childish, but politics between rivals is often childish. it would send a clear message.
I agree, India-Pakistan is a hell lot of fun if you watch it from a distance, for that matter the whole world politics is. Life will not be any fun if there are no enemies.
On a lighter note, do you guys think that India-Pakistan will be united under one country in the future, say a thousand years from now, when I hope there will be no religion. I think that they will but Australia will still be the world champions :D.

if the partition never happened, the ratio of muslims to hindus would be 40:60..
in another 20 years, it would be 50:50…
hindus are a dying breed…
as for supporting the BLA…
BLA may not like the policies of Pakistan but they are not stupid enough to ally themselves with India… they know India doesnt give a DAMN about them and only wants to de-stabilize Pakistan…
And unlike what happened in 1971, when Bangladesh was physically isolated from West Pakistan and when the Indian Army invaded East Pakistan…
none of this is possible now…
so for all indians who have wet dream of creating a Baluchistan country…

if you arm the Balochis with weapons and training, you really think that Pakistan will just sit idly by and not react?
We will increase our activites in Kashmir, Assam, Orissa, Tamil-Nadu, etc.. and many other places…
and beleive you me, the ISI has its tentacles in every nook and cranny of India and all it needs is an activiation switch to turn India into another Balkans…

Why so much 'India-bashing'?.India is 1.1 billion people of different races, religions, ethnicities, languages and regions.I live in Chennai(Madras) now and there are many indian kashmiris living permanently here, working and running businesses and shops.Some of them don't want to live anywhere else!!.They frequent J and K for vacations, family visits et al.But, they come back to Madras, where they live.Their children study in local schools. Same is true in all major urban centers of India.There is intermingling of various indian nationalities.It is fascinating to watch so many cultures and religions intermingling with one another in India.That is why the world is fascinated by us.

why are u being so defensive, we got around the fact that Pakistan will always train and abett kashmiri seperatism. Now we got a chance to ferment trouble in baluch. So why not use it. :). U stop and we stop that should be the policy here.

you have heard the word ‘boomerang’…this is why i hate india meddling anywhere. USA and pakistan supported taliban and other people like osama in afghanistan to defeat USSR, what happened?..it boomeranged. i.e now it affects them only. Pakistan supported kashmiri seperatists or rather militancy, now what happened?..the world blames pakistan only for violence over there. Even india made a mistake by sending IPKF to srilanka and what happened?..it again boomeranged on itself.Besides what fun in politics is there when there are people killing each other?..so india better stays out of balochistan or anywhere else.
Besides, so much pride over ISI’s tentacles in india…for spreading seperatist activities. That’s why it has boomeranged on you guys. You reap what you sowed. and what makes you think india is not capable of cutting the tentacles of ISI in india?..when we can flush LTTE from tamil nadu, then we can certainly flush out ISI from india.

It is interesting to note that the Pakistani junta in 1971 also told the general public that the Bengalis do not want to seperate. Perhaps the interviews that the Baloch leaders are giving are banned in Pakistan, or simply Pakistanis are caught up in denial. Either way, the talk of seperation is running rampant and everyone other than Pakistanis hear it.
ISI has been neutered by the US. It’s largely a domestic intelligence agency now that serves to keep Musharaff in power and the US fed with timely terrorist extraditions. The time of the Aslam Begs of the world is over. The jihadis that ISI created are running amok in Waziristan, are trying to blow up Musharraf, creating sectarian violence, and killing civilians in Kashmir. As a recent op/ed piece suggested, Pakistan is hanging by a thread and a wrong move…the West, en mass, will cut the thread. In all, the Pakistani intelligence services have turned on their population in a bid to save the country.
Pakistan’s real concern is not from India, any how. It is Iran. A nuclear Iran will try to flex it’s muscles. What then? A largely surrounded Pakistan, with enemies on all all borders.
If India is calling the BLA freedom fighters, it is par for course. A bit of Pakistan’s own medicine. There is nothing Pakistanis can do but listen to it, and hope the situation does not spiral out of control.

Kashmir joined India and Pakistani army invaded India. Their mansooba was to get Srinagar in a weeks time.
We can also look at the 1971 and Kargil.
