What if the guy just wanted a nice Muslim girl to spend his life with? What if he didn't have any stereotypes about either type of women in his mind BEFORE he met the girl he wanted to settle down with. Just because something happens that goes against the norm practice/choice....doesn't necessarily mean that the "norm practice/choice" is inferior.
It could simply be a matter of the guy meeting and "clicking" with the "right" person irrespective of nationality. It doesn't mean that one nationality is better than the other. I wonder if the same question would have been posed if the guy married a non-desi Muslim girl (Arab, African, etc).
