Me?

God help me. Running for cover. :hehe:

Re: Indian woman dies after being denied an abortion in Ireland

Its very bad. That is very sad.

Re: Indian woman dies after being denied an abortion in Ireland

Yes, this is what happens when laws are made based on religion. In this case Catholic.

Re: Indian woman dies after being denied an abortion in Ireland

I disagree. The big picture - religion whether it be Hinduism Buddhism Islam Christianity should be kept out of government and criterion to make laws. This thread exposes the flaw in having religion playing a role in law making.

Key is not to target a specific religion. IMO it is appropriate to use this as a teachable moment.

Re: Indian woman dies after being denied an abortion in Ireland

Crooked up laws. Actual cathlolic teachings are otherwise.

Re: Indian woman dies after being denied an abortion in Ireland

actual catholic teachings killed a bunch of women at the stake. actual catholic teachings also obliterated entire countries of native populations. make no mistake - the catholic church has been proven to be evil time and time again - with its virgin high priest living in a billion dollar home and collecting chanda in the name of charity to convert poor 3rd world kids.

Re: Indian woman dies after being denied an abortion in Ireland

You see there is this little thing called interpretation. Religion is prone to this as this case and your statement demonstrates. Hence the need to separate Religion from Government. Not a difficult concept to grasp.

It's not only the religion that is prone to interpretation. Have you seen people interpreting certain part of the constitution differently? For example, even we had difference of opinion on freedom of speech in constitution of USA. It's the matter of rather proper authority to define clearly convey the meanings. A court in case of constitution.

We will be going off topic if we started to discuss the historical perspective of separation of religion and state in a capitalist society where out of many factors, one would be that economics is based on the concept of interest money, which otherwise is categorically prohibited in the religious text of both Christianity and Judaism.. Very easy to grasp the motives behind the concept.

Re: Indian woman dies after being denied an abortion in Ireland

No system is perfect. But a secular system does not have an invisible authority making the law for a diverse population. Mistakes in interpretation are corrected by living and breathing lawmakers.

Re: Indian woman dies after being denied an abortion in Ireland

Well this is a Pakistani forum so its natural for people to draw parallels between the stupidity of hyper religious people in Ireland and hyper religious people in Pakistan. When religion over rides common sense and common decency, as has occurred in this case and has happened in Pak, it tells us that there is a problem. Religion and its role in society is the common thread that makes such stories relevant to Pakistanis.

Re: Indian woman dies after being denied an abortion in Ireland

Those are the idiot and retarded people who get nightmares about Islam or Pakistan every time they sleep! They need psychiatrists more than anything in the world. lol
Stick to Ireland and no need to drag Islam or Pakistan everywhere even if this is a Pakistani forum.

Re: Indian woman dies after being denied an abortion in Ireland

When Pakistanis are arresting people with down syndrome and shooting little girls in the face, I think that is more then enough for nightmares about Islam and Pakistan.

Re: Indian woman dies after being denied an abortion in Ireland

:smack: ^ Murghay Ki Ek Taang. No idea why you had to prove what I said above.
