Indian State Elections

Nice try rvikz, but did you notice the date? September/October 1999.

We all know how much the support of the BJP-RSS has risen across India, as witnessed in their huge electoral victories in not just Gujrat but across “Hindi-speaking” India since that period. Despite all your predictions over the years.

But as Zakk said what about the support of the supposedly secular coalition partners who have allied themselves with the BJP-RSS, despite their hate-mongering against the minorities in India?

Yes Nazi Germany had elections, and Hitler got elected. The same has happened in Gujrat, and seems to be happening all over the "Hindi belt" of India, if not in all India.

You forget the fact Hitler won the power because he caught the imagination and passion of the people. So you have something against all elections and elected forms of government? That would be quite dumb. Even dictators keep holding out the "return to democracy next year" carrot for a reason.

If people such as you become so cynical about democracy, where is hope?

Yeh, so in that case you should be condemning the BJP-RSS for it's murderous policies, instead of defending them like you always do.

mallik you see everything in relgious terms. voters dont care about
religen.

Appeals to religion, ideology or dynasty will not work.

Indians want good governance and the development that comes with it.

This coming from the person who spends 2/3 of his time in the Religion forum trying to rather pathetically do down Islam.

Everyone knows what the BJP-RSS stands for, and what they preach against Muslims, Christians, Sikhs and others. That is why they were elected to power in the first place years ago, and after colluding in a genocide that is how Hitler Modi got re-elected with an even bigger majority in Gujrat.
