but then,the show is "Indian Idol",not "Indo-Sino Idol" or "Chinese Idol" !! yeah,there are many many chinese in India,who have lived in India for generations and have Indian passport,then too,i think he will not win the show. no dout he is a good singer,but nothing could be said for now..
but his great grandfather came from China so he's not really Chinese :) But then like I said India might not accept it :(

Anu Malik is the most annoying person on Indian Idol and he should be kicked out! he acts like he's all kewl but he looks more like a loser...

I cried my eyes out when they showed the part when Rehan Khan was in front of the judges and he found out that he was selected. It was so touching and sweet. I just couldn't control the tears. I hope he gets to the top 10 round along with Richa, Meiyang, Prashant and Suhit. I can't remember any more names but these people definitely stood out in their singing abilities.

^ Rehan's selection was an awesome Idol moment...
The quality of the piano round contestants isn't all that good though... last yr was wayy better. I think Richa and the 'kool guy' were selected to keep the interest alive for the fans ; they have screwed up quite a few times now yet they keep making it to the next round.

i hate that richa girl..i think she should not have been selected in the top 28....acted so childish that i wanted to smack her so bad..i dont know how her partner was maintaining his calm....
yea i like the chang guy..i hope he wins..or the guitarist..i dont know his name though...he was the one who asked if he could cry when he was selected.

Richa is a great singer and she has definitely gone through intense singing lessons to have a voice that can sing some of the more difficult lataji songs. She proved that when she first sang for them in the audition round.
I do agree that she's going a bit overboard with the cute act since she's about 16 so she should really do some growing up now. Suhit was the one that was only picked for his "x factor" other than that his singing was really bad in the theater round both in the duet and solo singing portions.

I hated that girl too, but frankly, there wasn't enough talent in the pool to let her go. The idol needs that girl to generate some viewership. Same goes for Suhit. Hats off to that guy with Richa who fought through.
I was looking for that cool girl who sang Mehbooba mehbooba (adnan sami) song; did she get in the piano round?

Is Richa that tiny girl who was all excited that she got through to the Piano round and has a huge ego because she didn't like her partner?? I don't think she will last for too long. She has a good voice but if she keeps up w/ her attitude then she's probably going to be out before reaching the top 5 or so.

just comparing SGMP and ID - ID singers are no where close to the talent that SGMP has. The SGMP judges are SO CRITICAL even on good performances. ID judges are waay too nice!!
Richa's got such a kiddie voice...don't care for her at all.
I am still rooting for Chang :)

^ yah, she is quite crafty. I didn't think she was gonna make it out of the theater round after the fight with sohit. The other girls sucked, except for zu bi zu bi one.

^ I was surprised to see Aisha is out. Zubi zubi girl has a good voice but I don't know how long she will last since she doesn't fit into the "pretty and thin" model. I hope Shifa and Richa go out soon. They have such kiddie voices.
Most of the guys did pretty well last night. Emon, Prashant, and Chang should end up being in the top 10.
on a side note - ID has a HORRIBLE live band!!

The girl who sang chandini raatain from Dubai she did well but she was also out...but i'm sure she will be back. Rehan Khan was also good last night...but a heavy metal guy sorry to say that he doesn't have a voice quality...tonight i wanna see him bottom 4.
