9th gala updates...
show recorded today guys n gals.
the show started wid all the contestants alisha anu and udit dancin on a few disco songs
there was no celeb judge this time
the first one to sing was chang and he sang om shanti om
the judges were totally floored by his singing they all said it was flawless
then it was prashants turn he sang ek haseena thi
the judges didnt like it much they thought he needs to improve cos he didnt match chang's std and chang has raised the bar of the competition
third was amit and he sang some old not so popular song called "pyar aaya"
the judges again praised him and said tat he was on par wid chang's performance
and javed saab said tat he was a gift to the hindi film industry..
fourth was emon he sang saara zamaana
judges liked it but thought he couldve done better and his pronunciations were worng at some places
fifth was ankita she was looking nice in a red outfit and she sang aap jaisa koi
all the judges just loveddd her song and thought it was sang in ankita's own style and she introduced her own rendition they all siad tat now the hopes of havin a female indian idol are in her hands..
the show ended wid all the contestants performing wid taufiq quereshi..

What i dont get is that whenver a contestant is out he/she already has a song ready to sing and they have everything set up like they go over that contestant's safer with indian idol. It seems to me that everything is a set up and even the contestants, hosts and the judges know who will be out.
Just take parleen's example, he had a sad song ready to sing when he was out.

^I think they make every single contestant practice a song on elimination day, it's the same thing with American Idol.

only emon and amit are good singers. baaki sab koi khaas nahi hain..prashant can become a good singer if he gets some training..he has a nice voice..but his song choice is terrible
