Urdu is indeed a dying langauge in India. No doubt about it.

I really hope you're wrong - I have heard my friends say there's some really beatiful poetry in it.

BTW what language did Umar Khayyam wrote in (Persian, Arabic or Urdu?)

LOL! Do you realize you are putting ur own community to shame!

Read carefully to what I said. Let me quote you again:

to which I replied:

and now u reply saying

So, I wont go on explaining how stupid the reply was. Maybe you should check your facts again. Also, where did you get the information about Indian school's curriculum? I studied in an Indian school. And I studied Urdu. Next time, make a sensible statement and dont make a mockery of yourself.

I dunno which Indy School u studied in man. Anyway you have all my sympathies it just figures why u have a low IQ and that you cant even understand basic phrasal English. I can't go on and explain such inanities.

Like it or not, its a fact that Urdu is now out of the core School Ciricullum in Indy land. How I know that, its none of your business. And as someone above said, its a dead language in Indy land.

atleast they are not showing lollywood movies. that wud give americans a heart-attack!

creativity: Lollywood movies copy movie titles from bollywood. how shameful is that?

I'm glad they are showing classics like Pakeezah, Mother India, and Bombay. Those movies are worth watching!
[/QUOTE]

Why are you dragging lollywood here? You need to acquire some brain cells, all I was objecting was the statement where a brilliant fellow wrote 'creative bollywood', which is a very big oxymoron. I never said bollywood is not popular, or lollywood leading the film industry with its esteemed creativity.

Watching five minutes of this crap can tell you a lot. That's when it's time to switch the channel and watch VH1.

This is great news.
For two reasons.

Now the American audience will understand what we have been suffering through. They will share our torture.

Also, Americans will find out that all of Bollywood films steal ideas from either Hollywood or the Lifetime Channel movies on TV.

i saw dilwale after many years, not a bad flick. bombay is powerful too.

Yeah, I saw DDLJ, Bombay and a part of Amar Akbar Anthony yesterday.
It was cool watching Bombay again. It is a good flick.
