because we give same gaalis to each other, so the one who has culurally evolved will start using either different gaali or no gaali at all, if any of this doesn’t occur over a period of time that means none have changed culurally:)

Can we say in Jatland people who can’t give gaali are considered as uncultured?

the culture of the youth is definitely vastly different in both countries. we are headed different ways as societal norms etc are concerned. indians are wary of pakistanis tendency to be conservative out of the blue at seemingly random things. pakistanis are wary of indians eagerness of blindly apeing western lifestyle.

IMO when it comes to follow western style Pakistani are not behind Indians. For me people of both the countries are more comfortable with western lifestyle then accepting overlapping cultures of each other.

Oh really, other than being drunk like skunk, indians have their share of conservatives. Haven't u seen all the girls getting beaten up by hindu extremists for wearing western dress or hanging out late.

Oh really, other than being drunk like skunk, indians have their share of conservatives. Haven't u seen all the girls getting beaten up by hindu extremists for wearing western dress or hanging out late.

i havent. indian girls pretty much wear what they want, especially in the cities. the only protests from hindu extremists happen at valentines day, and this is more comical nowadays.

well certainly they promote vulgarity which by no means represents even the Indian culture at large but it has subtle effects on it and those effects are only visible after a certain time has passed.

In last decade I noticed a practice, that our wedding ceremonies are heavily influenced by Marigold (gainday ka phool) than Rose (Gulab ka phool). That made me sad. What is wrong with Gulab ka phool that we are ditching it for gainday ka phool?

Gulab is expensive then gainda - for one reason out of many :)
