Gandharv Jain weds Natasha Kapoor
The sangeet:
The sangeet was a semi formal affair, where most girls opted for shalwars, some wore light lenhengas; comfort being key as most of them had to get up on stage and perform. Jewel colours like emerald green and dark sapphire blue were seen everywhere that night.
Some garments had a bit of a tribal influence incorporated in the prints.
However, the stand out was an all white Anarkalli Salwar that was designed by the lady wearing it.
Jeweled Hair pieces were a big hit at the sangeet.
Natasha herself wore a green and dark pink lenhenga.

Rashmi and Kunal Adnani’s wedding was at the gorgeous Sheraton HuaHin Resort & Spa near Bangkok. Rashmi’s wedding wear was designed by Shyamal & Bhumika, Shantanu & Nikhil, Babita Malkani, Pia Gehani and Sabyasachi and the wedding was managed by Dubai’s ace wedding planner Rimjhim Bhagchandani. Rashmi who works with a financial conglomerate in Dubai tells us more about her wedding themes and wear.
Black dress by Shantanu and Nikhil for Welcome dinner
It was a small dinner for close family and friends, I wanted to look stylish yet myself so I chose a short off-shoulder black dress by Shantanu and Nikhil, it had small black beads and a big red puff on the shoulder for some glamour. Kunal wore grey pants and a black shirt from Arjun Khanna and a maroon waistcoat by Sabyasachi.

Greek theme Ring ceremony/Masquerade ball
This was our first big function as all the guests had arrived and would be seeing us for the first time. The theme was Greek and the dress code ‘Coats and Gowns’, since the ring ceremony was to be followed by a Masquerade Ball, we picked creations appropriate for both functions. I wore an elegant royal blue flounced and layered chiffon gown from Mumbai-based designer Pia Gehani. To complement the gown I wore a classic diamond set from Popley Eternal and a thick diamond bracelet designed by Varuna D Jani. Kunal wore black jodhpuri pants with a band gala jacket from Etro in Mumbai.

Indo-Western for Pool Party
This was a casual fun event during the day and while everyone was in swim wear and sipping cocktails, I was getting mehendi put on my hands and feet. I chose a white georgette and silk knee length dress with pure gotta and pink pleated detailing, this too was designed by Pia Gehani.

Jodha Akbar theme for Sangeet
The theme for the night was Jodha Akbar and the dress code was Sherwanis and Anarkalis. I wore a full-sleeves green anarkali with a green lehenga and a blue dupatta which was designed by Babita Malkani. The work on my dress was mainly gold with a touch of blue and purple. Kunal wore a cream and gold sherwani from Neeta Lulla (this was similar to what Hirthik Roshan wore in Jodha Akbar) which had a touch of green to complement my outfit. To match the theme I wore ethnic gold jewelry with coral and emeralds designed by Sabyasachi.

Shyamal and Bhumika creations for Wedding
We both wanted a very traditional look and chose to get both our outfits made by Ahmedabad-based Shyamal and Bhumika. I wore a wine color velvet lehnga which had intricate hand embroidery teamed with a sheer net emerald green dupatta. There was beautiful peeta embroidery done in antique gold and highlighted with jadau pieces which added a unique touch to the outfit. The outfit is an extension of the designers 2010-11 bridal collection and was specially designed keeping in mind the Wedding’s theme and colors. Kunal’s ensemble was also a part of the same collection and he wore an emerald green velvet sherwani style jacket with a crepe silk gold dhoti.
Since I wanted a traditional look I wore a gold set with jadau pieces from Popley Eternal and traditional maroon color punjabi wedding bangles (chudas).

Victorian theme Reception
I wanted a completely different look from the wedding so I chose a glamorous Indo-western lehenga by Shantanu and Nikhil. The top was a silver corset with a fuchsia pink flower on the shoulder and crystal chains hanging from it. The lehenga was fuchsia pink with silver work and touches of grey at the bottom. Kunal picked a classic black tux from Armani. My diamond set was from Varuna D Jani.

Make-up and Hair by Ojas Rajani
I had seen some pictures of Ojas’ work on a friend and instantly loved it since it was a very natural look which is what I was looking for. When I met Ojas she made me feel very comfortable and I was sure she would give me the look I wanted. I absolutely loved all the different looks that Ojas gave me for all the functions especially the traditional look for the wedding.
