but I guess sending them off is not enough, shoot them down will be a proper response.

If the intruder runs with its tail between its legs only after 4KM if incursion then there isn't much time to lock your missiles on the target.

The option of shoot down is available only if the wreckage falls within Pak.

When the Indians shot down the unarmed Atlantique rather cowardly, the wreckage was in Pakistan, in a marshy waste area and there was footage of Indian soldiers going in and running away with the debris and whatever was left of the plane. I say we can do the same too!

Pakistan govt or military does not want any more tension on their heads...so no attempt to shoot down; just a gentle escort to get them out.

Let me give you real news, when they were only 2.3 miles away from border they got the warning, they had been shoot down if meteorological dept. confirm that their pieces will be in Pakistan land. Try again !

Uncle their are protocols between Pakistan/India on forces movement i don't think so in those protocols fighter planes are allowed to travel as close as 2.5 miles. Confirm my figure with your air force.

Guyz this is all Indian bravado, They know when to do U turn and run with tail tucked between the legs. In 2001/2002 they played their best card and lost... Now its all noise and more noise. Even a crazy indian would not dare to provoke Ghauri/Ghaznvi/Abdali in their dreams...
