Malinga went for 96 runs in 7.4 overs :o

As per the highlights Ive seen so far, Malinga wasn't really off colour.. he was doing his usual.. a lot of well directed yorkers.. but the batsmen just kept smacking him around.. the 35th over Malinga to Kohli was absolutely insane!

Kohli's battering of Malinga to chase a tough target here was very similar to a CLT20 game from last year, or last to last year.. RCB vs MI.. > 10-12 RRR.. and Kohli smashed Malinga and Zaheer's yorkers all over the park to chase a tough target easily..

What an amazing performance by VK. This is what you call batting. He did not slog rather batted with aggression. VK is the future of Indian batting line up.

Anyway, your guy Kohli did well. I was relieved Dhoni did not promotehimself. In this tournament, he has been laying way too defensively. Raina stepped in and did not miss a beat.

It was a total team effort, starting with sehwag and Tendulkar. In fact the former caame down the wicket to Kulasekhara - for one day his footwork was just fine.

I rate tendulkar's 39 as high as any hundred he may have scored. aSet the tone. Gambhir also started extremely well, then paced himself.

Kohli was not at his best initially, but stuck it out till he started seeing the ball like a football.
