There style is not very attractive and friendly … but thats how they played all these years … They are down but not out …just one more serise and they will be back, they are a team of fighters …

SL’s main problem is that there team is centered arround Jaya, vaas and murli, and unfortunatly for them no one clicked in this serise …

Exactly. They base their game on one or two players (mainly Murali and Jayasuriya) and if they dont fire, they lose the series badly. They hardly win anything without Murali’s contribution.

Somehow I don't like this guy Jayasuriya, I think lot of his game is based on deception. Last two games he has tried to confuse umpire.
1. Plumb LBW - He shifts his leg outside legstump and look at umpire as umpire has done biggest mistake of his life.
2. Clear caught behind, looks at his pad. Looks at umpire in disbelief and than walks shaking his head as again he is the most wronged person in the world.
A batsman with average of 31 is too much hyped. So called all greats are in the range of 40+ averages in ODIs.

Im kinda happy for this guy. Another rags to riches story. Regardless of his performance, he's brought home lots of fame and fortune for his family, friends, cousins, colleagues, his city, state etc.

I heard somewhere (or maybe read here on gs, dont remember) that people in his neighborhood, at the masjid etc who used to know him and used to send him on errands (like do this, go to the market etc etc) dont summon him anymore because they dont feel appropriate sending a celebrity on errands. And because of this he himself goes to these peoples' houses to reassure that he's still their same *Ifoo *and they can call on his services whenever they like etc. Quite a noble gesture i think.

With Ganguly/ Chappel Saga at the time of arrival. SL may have thought that they are walking in for a easy whitewash series win and didn’t think. By the time they realised India was already all over them..
