India Vs. Pak On Dish??!!?

Re: India Vs. Pak On Dish??!!?

well, if you can manage to get a “dedicated” slot then you won’t have that question

Re: India Vs. Pak On Dish??!!?

Cheetah is on my MSN list and a long time friend, so a dedicated slot is not a problem. I still want some reliability in the stream because he is often away at work and some other people stream the match on his behalf.

Re: India Vs. Pak On Dish??!!?

ne news on broadcasting?

Re: India Vs. Pak On Dish??!!?

Dishnetwork will for sure show it. They have all exclusive rights for series in India. The only problem is they can't say the price and whatever, is because they were not told the schedule and they don't know who is going to be relaying to North America. Whether it's ESPN or Zee. Not till the stupid BCCI figures out who is going to telecast it, then the rest of the world will be able to buy the coverage from them.

So don't worry, Dish will get it.. for a price of course.

Re: India Vs. Pak On Dish??!!?

How do you know that? Do you have any link? I know they just got rights to all series in Pakistan. But never heard any news about all series in India.

Re: India Vs. Pak On Dish??!!?

I am sure PTV in pakistan will do the business.

Re: India Vs. Pak On Dish??!!?

What about sky tv ???

r they showing the series or not ??

Re: India Vs. Pak On Dish??!!?

All of you^^ don't seems to realize the 'on-going' court cases of broadcasting rights are still
pending in the indian courts. Untill it is resolved the very possibility of the 'tour' being cancelled does exist.

Re: India Vs. Pak On Dish??!!?

Yara Rainy bhai the sereis is not started yet and i am feeling tense , so thats y i wanna confirm :teary1: .

I dont wanna miss the series :frowning: .

Re: India Vs. Pak On Dish??!!?

Faisal, I will look around on the press release site of Dishnetwork for you on that one. It was something that said England home and India home series only (sorry I guess I may have said India away and home), but it was exclusively home series till 2007 (i think thats the year).

Considering its Pakistan IN India, it will be on Dish. Directv has rights to home series rights in South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia.

Re: India Vs. Pak On Dish??!!?

yes tv rights ka gaubar still causing some confusion in india rite now. zee tv won the rights for a 4yr deal worth 240 million but dat win ws challenged in the adaalt etc anyhow guys what's ptv's frequency for viewers in england using sky digital. any 1 have it then plz give it to me.

Re: India Vs. Pak On Dish??!!?

I read somewhere that if this TV rights problem is not solved by the time this series starts, there won't be any series. No cricket withiout TV coverage!

Re: India Vs. Pak On Dish??!!?

Sony snares international cricket rights for Indo-Pak series

Indiantelevision.com Team(5 March 2005 1:30`am)

MUMBAI: In a development late this evening, Sony Entertainment Television today wrested the international cricket telecast rights (for all countries with the exception of south Asia) for the Indo-Pak series. Announcing this at a gala party hosted by sports and movies channel MAX at Mumbai’s Grand Hyatt, Sony Entertainment boss Kunal Dasgupta looked rather battle weary but confident and dapper in his suit.

Sony Entertainment bested the bid of Nimbus by agreeing to pay up $11.5 million to the BCCI. Earlier Prasar Bharati had been allotted the domestic telecast rights while TWI had pocketed the production rights for the much touted series. At that stage, Nimbus boss Harish Thawani had protested against the decision.
As he did today. Speaking to indiantelevision.com around midnight, Thawani stated that his bid for the rights was much higher than Sony’s.

Respondng to Thawani’s charge on the sidelines of the MAX party, Dasgupta pointed out that when the bids were opened at 5 pm, Sony’s was the highest. “There is no cause for any dispute in this matter,” he firmly told indiantelevision.com

Since in North America, Sony is on Dish Network, so there is a good chance, the series will be shown on Dish PPV. No pricing yet.
