i just read a post on this thread where the guy is sayin that all patriotic pakis should suport new zealand. i just fail to understand this mentality. watch a sport for the sports sake. by making it a cheap little india bashing session, you're just degrading the whole concept and reason why sports are there in the first place. a sport is about competitiveness, fitness, adrenaline and recreation(most important). by sayin stuff like, "all patriotic pakis. should support the team playing against india", you're just wasting the whole meaning of sports and that is just sad.

Funguy, gangu had a prob with his contact lenses. I think he went back soon after though cuz i saw him walking back with the rest of the indian team when the match was over.

On captain Sourav Ganguly, Mahendra said "no judgment should be made in the midst of an ongoing series".

Asked why "old" players were being given preference again and again, he replied: "You cannot sideline your parents just because they are old.

^^ no wonder why Indian team is sinking. Going with the logic of Mr. Mahendra than old parents should not retire and keep feeding the family for ever and good luck to Indian team. Someone needs to tell him he is comparing apple with orrange.

I wonder why was Sehwag absolutey crap in all other matches and suddenly explodes in finals? Big match player or the one who relies on droped catches??

^ more likely the latter, if you recall he was most lethal against pakistan earlier when we dropped catches. Later when we learned how to catch, he couldn't do much. He is such a high risk player that he ALWAYS offers a chance earlier on.
