Update 10:30 IST - Conditions in Guwahati is still a bit overcast but the good news is there has been no more rain so far. And if the weather remains like that, we can have a Twenty20 game on the cards. Groundsmen are toiling hard to dry the wet patches in the outfield. It's wet and slippery. The umpires are out for inspection, update to follow.
The choppers were used earlier for about 45 minutes to dry the outfield. The chopper cost INR 90000 per half hour for such a job. But umpire Rudi Koertzen is still not satisfied with the ground condition.
The umpires feel that the outfield is still soggy and they will have another round of inspection at 12 O'clock India time. The max we can expect is a Twenty20 game provided it starts latest by 1:55 PM (India time) with no more interuptions. Let's hope the sun comes out and we have a game. Next update will be at 12:00 India time.

Two of the members at CricBuzz's live running chat have just confirmed that the match has been called off due to soggy outfield. Waiting for the official report to follow.
Nasir Hussain talking to both umpires. According to them they have told both captains that if they want to play, it can be started, if not than play will be called off. Umpires personally feels that the chances are slim since the condition has not improved much.
