SIXXXXX BY Dhawan

India win the match in style .This over produced another 12 runs with one 4 and a six by Dhawan. ![]()
Dhawan scored 97 from 81 balls with 11 fours and 4 sixes. The partnership between Dhawan and Kohli produced 29 runs from 11 balls and 28 of the runs being scored by Dhawan!!! ![]()
From Cricinfo:-
A terribly one-sided finish set up by two superb innings from Ajinkya Rahane and Shikhar Dhawan.. with a million balls to spare. Dhawan finally gets to twirl his tashes. India 3-0 up and eyeing a whitewash in the ODI series. England have just not turned up in the ODIs. The win also makes Dhoni the most successful captain for India.
India started the chase watchfully, then came that over from Anderson in which Rahane picked up four exquisite boundaries and there was no turning back.

Re: India vs England,4th ODI,Birmingham
So I am very happy. We did it in style and in color.Dhoni is the most successful captain of India and t*he tainted name of Azhar is out of the books.* :) Dhawan is back in form and Rahane scored his maiden century.English fans can lick their wounds and their press can think of our team with awe and respect. :)

To the erstwhile English cricketer who blogged, after England won the test series, that India's new flag is a white flag....
Now we after having won the series and beat your England 3-0 ,your new flag is a white flag with a big hole in the middle. **
Re: India vs England,4th ODI,Birmingham
India have literally owned England in the ODI series. Dhawan unlucky not to get his hundred.
The same batting line-up struggled in the test series
Just shows that you can be kings in one format and flops in another..

Re: India vs England,4th ODI,Birmingham
I'm quite sure IPL has served India so much in getting a complete mental hold in the limited overs game. First they win their nerves and then with the help of sufficient techniques they take care of rest of the business.
Plenty of things we can learn from a winning setup.
Re: India vs England,4th ODI,Birmingham
if the world cup was based on test matches, India would probably sit at the bottom of the list.
i would love to see India and Pakistan in the world cup FINALS! :) bahot mazaa aataa hai...jazbaat aasmaan par hote haiN...lolz
match kaa mazaa to sach meN tabhii aataa hai jab:

Re: India vs England,4th ODI,Birmingham
Comprehensive victory of the white ball bullies over the red ball bullies.
Re: India vs England,4th ODI,Birmingham
Congrats Team India and his supporters on GS ![]()
Dhoni captaining the side very well and they took almost 10 wickets victory. A comprehensive victory over England especially after losing the test series will give them lot of confident.
Now India is on top in ranking.
Rahane average is almost 58 in FC. A well deserved maiden ton :k:

26 Number of wickets Mohammed Shami has taken this year. He took three today and is now the second highest wicket taker in 2014, with Lasith Malinga leading the list with 29. Three of the top four ODI wicket-takers in 2014 are Sri Lankan, with Shami being the only exception.
Re: India vs England,4th ODI,Birmingham
We will win all the matches of the series. :)
Re: India vs England,4th ODI,Birmingham
never mind England, you won the war (test matches) and lost the side show.
Re: India vs England,4th ODI,Birmingham
Two international captains who should not be leading their country's ODI sides
England: It should be Eoin Morgan not Cook
Pakistan: Fawad or Younis. Younis Khan is a less defensive captain than Misbah but (unfortunately) his batting sucks in ODIs...struggles to rotate the strike etc.
