Re: India Tour of England 2011

BCCI have decided not to play any long series in England, this is after disappointing tour of England where India denied victory in any match. Cricket Pundits are taking it as a warning for South Africa and Australia, if these two sides treats India with same wand, Indian Cricket might boycott them as well.

India loves to play on its home ground and that with its own umpires, any umpire who issue decision as per the Dhoni's instruction is Indian umpire, regardless of his race, religion and nationality.

ICC is also taking serious note of what happened in England and have issued a task to its Think Tank ( BCCI) to come up with some new laws in the game of cricket. These laws will be used in for Indian team only whether they are visiting or hosting a series or playing a tournament. Some of guidelines for such laws are as follows:

1) The Bowlers of other teams are not allowed to use the following: a) Yorker b) Short Ball c) In Swinger d) Off-Cutter e) Any other delivery which beats any Indian batsmen would be called as No-Ball if repeated in same over or by the same bowler.

2) In a 50 over match, whatever target India will post, the opposition have to get it in 40 overs.

3) In test cricket, any 6 of Indian Batsmen shall have 2 turns in single innings, whereas, umpires will be bound to consult Captain Dhoni if he appeals for LBW and Caught Behind, the decision shall be in accordance to what Dhoni might suggest.

These are few guidelines, the purpose is not to keep Indian team at top but to support Cricket through out the world.

Re: India Tour of England 2011

Pace Ace of the Year
Awarded to Vinay Kumar for a speed gun-shattering delivery at the Rose Bowl that touched 75 mph.

:omg:

Re: India Tour of England 2011

hahahah you all are having a ball in here !!!

im actually not thaat disappointed about the ODI performances... the young guys were competitive, nothing compared to the disaster in the tests!

Re: India Tour of England 2011

I can understand your excitement that you have sensed from the ODI series, after all two indians score the match winning hits on two occasions, Sambit Patel in2nd and Ravi Bopara in final ODI.

Re: India Tour of England 2011

I lost money :smack2: The worst performance by Indian’s and they have become neighbor of Pakistan by coming on No. 5 in ODI:D

Re: India Tour of England 2011

I will make one slight correction there. True the batters performed better in the ODIs but the bowling mediocrity still stood out:

  • 1st ODI at Chester-le-Street 272/4 in 50 overs - batters did their job but *looking at the indian bowling, England probably would have won if not for rain *- 2nd ODI at The Rose Bowl, Southampton: 187/8 in 23 overs (RR: 8.13) - *indian bowlers failed *- 3rd ODI at The Oval: 234/7 in 50 overs - **indian batting failed **except for Dhoni and Jadeja
  • 4th ODI @ Lord's: 280/5 in 50 overs - should have been a winning score but **indian bowlers failed
  • *5th ODI at Cardiff: 304/6 in 50 overs *- indian bowlers failed

**BCCI needs to declare a state of emergency against declining bowling standards in the country

But what will most likely happen is India will prevail 4-1 or 3-2 over England in home conditions next month and then everything will be forgotten!!

Re: India Tour of England 2011

you can take the desi out of india but not india out of the desi!!

Re: India Tour of England 2011

I have been unable to catch most of the action, but I will take your word on it.

Will the Indian bowling ever become more than just a supporting act to the batting power?
