India to play role in Afghanistan

Looking at the posts here I am reminded of a saying - no good deed goes unpunished.

India is funding billions worth of projects in Afghanistan and instead of being appreciated for the good deed what do we see here? a number of you criticising India for helping the needy!

When you complain that you have to absorb refugees from Afghanistan, why don’t you think a bit deeper and realize that if countries like India help pull Afghanistan out of the hole, you won’t have to handle so many refugees? In other words India is indirectly helping Pakistan when it helps Afghanistan. Why is it so difficult to understand?

The only reason therefore Pakistan would object to India helping Afghanistan is that a strong well governed Kabul would mean defeat of the so called “strategic depth” goals of Islamabad.

If you want to help the needy then why dont you take 2 Million or so of their refugees while our building their highways… Your building roads is worthless because as soon as they get a chance, they will destroy them again. And lets be honest, India is hardly the giving type…

Countries like India are the problem my friend. IF countries like India weren’t overly involved in Afghanistan, they may not be the mess they are today.

The reason why Pakistan objects to a hostile regime in Kabul is because Afghansitan has traditionaly been hostile towards Pakistan for reasons not of Paks making.
Allowing a hostile regime in Afghanistan, that allows Indians in roads to our Western border, that is a strategic blunder in the making.

I dont understand why this is so difficult for you Indians to understand. We dont want our enemy surrounding us. That logical is it not?!?!
Indian motives are hardly benign. You may think your country is harmless, but Pakistanis dont.

Whats amazing is how Indians are never there to do any of the real work required to fix the country. Another words, fighting those trying to destabalize it, or even help the Millions that are displaced, but your always there to pick up the pieces as soon as you see a chance. Why werent you this charitable when the Afghans were being driven from their homes by the thousands?
