Batting is fine, it is the bowling which is inept and cannot defend any total which the batsmen put up. What is required is some good bowlers. This is the first time in my 40 odd years of watching cricket that I see India without a potent spinner. Always had world class spinners, now the cupboard seems empty. Loads of mediocre spinners but no world class.

I agree. Maybe too much focus on one day and 20 overs cricket. They don’t flight the ball - afraid to get hit.
