Afterall A-5 is the most expendable plane capable of carrying a nuke and the benefits to the groundforces will be immense if a armored division is wiped out as a result( if we ignore collateral damage to civilian areas)

No military planner of war games can afford to ignore the consequences of a nuclear strike on the local civilian population. The stakes are too high and fortunately our understanding of the horrors of nuclear strikes have improved.
