In Sindh development remains confined to paper

Re: In Sindh development remains confined to paper

Development, specially education, would ruin wadaira raaj in interior Sindh. They would intentionally stall it and cry about Punjab eating the resources up.

Re: In Sindh development remains confined to paper

PPP is there in rural Sindh, and it would take ages for any political party to route them out. I am talking of the bigger picture, PPP is out of Punjab and KPK. They'll have to perform in Sindh to get seats there. Bhutto brand is weakening with the passage of time. If someone thinks that Bilawal can revive the party's fortunes is mistaken. The party needs to perform, and that seems to be exactly what the party does not want to do.

Re: In Sindh development remains confined to paper

I agree. In the meantime, it is only the PPP that defends Sindh, which is why they are the only choice for Sindhi’s- even with Zardari leading, who most Sindhis dislike.

This is one example:

*Tempers flared during the provincial assembly sitting on Monday when a treasury lawmaker pointed out that “non-Urdu speaking” employees of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) were receiving threats.

The issue was raised on a point of order by Pakistan People’s Party MPA Mir Nadir Ali Khan Magsi.

The MPA said KWSB employees of Sindhi ethnicity were continuously being threatened to quit their jobs and also leave Karachi. “They [the employees] contacted us and we asked them to remain patient. However, this is being misconstrued as a weakness of Sindhis and Baloch,” he added. “You people are crossing the lines on this issue,” said Magsi apparently addressing the lawmakers of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement without mentioning any names.

“Sindh belongs to all of us and you should sort out such issues through talks,” he added

“If you people hit one of our people, then in retaliation we will hit two of yours and we have authorised our boys to do so,” he warned. “If you will fight, then we will fight back.”
