Mainstream Indian media would report it if it was a from a verifiable source. Why don't you find one reported by reuters or PTI? Reposting web page content from a website does not give a news authenticity, no matter how many people repost it to get a higher google search result rank.
The only parrot news coming from India was regarding the Singapore parrot owned by Muniyappan predicting the football world cup winners. This news regarding the death of the parrot predicting a pakistani victory appeared in some pakistani blogs and disreputable web sites in the beginning of march quoting sources like "routers" from bangalore, with the name of the parrot changing from mani to mali. Initially it was claimed that Shiv sena killed the parrot. Now that has been left out for some reason. The story change everyday with stuff being added and left out with each post in a pakiatani blog/website.
OneIndia website is reposting a web page content to attract traffic during the wednesday match.
