Re: In an unstable Pakistan, can nuclear warheads be kept safe? - Seymour Hersh
Give me one reason we should believe the writer?
Why shouldn't we be worry about the US Nukes? How many of these "journalists" have written and discussed the US Nukes non stop for years? Every couple of months we read the news that "oh the live N'Bomb was "accidently" attached to the fighter flying from East to South coast" ... "oh this submarine "acdentelly" took this many Nukes without anyone knowing about it" and so on. They should hire Pakistani/Indian munshis to at least keep the inventory count correct.
one can not deny the presence of extremist elements in Arm forces but thats to very little ratio almost negligible at least when it comes to operating/saving the nukes.

Nukes in Pakistan are not safe, please US, please... take all the weapons in your custody, take all the weapons in custody which are invisible too (like in Iraq). We need a super-power like US (who is unable to establish a control anywhere) to secure our nukes.

M2K- I hope everyone watches that video before jumping to conclusions. From what Hersh says, US knows a lot less about the Pak nukes now than they did when Musharaf was around.
It is also more apparent that the SU special task force is simple 'if you need additional help' team rather than a Mission team to go 'take out Pak nukes'.

^^ well apparently the deal between US-Pak-India was....
That India will move troops away from Pakistani Border if they knew there are certain mechanisms in place which prevent them from falling into extremist hands.
US assures India of this by augmenting the security protocols of Pakistani Nuclear Forces.
When India was assured, it withdrew some troops from the Pakistani border which allowed the Pakistanis to free troops to pursue the Taliban.
I know truth hurts, ‘take out Pak nukes’ is an Indian’s wet dream, is there a doubt? Its guys like you who need some education and adult supervision to post here so there is some sense in the thread… on second thought its okay to have you post here without education and adult supervision so there is some humour in the threads too

Captain1 don't bother the people who are dreaming even at the day time , leave them they way they are , no matter what you say there are people who will never accept the truth.
And Jalaludin , There are some Dreams that you guys can only see they will never become reality , as long as even 1 patriot Pakistani Lives ,
As for worrying for American Nukes, Secretary Gates fired the person in charge of that mishap.
So only ONE person was responsible for the whole mishaps in fact too many of those? How can they assure world that this will not happen again. Wait for couple of months and you will hear another news.

If needed, will India accept any such "if you need additional help" ?
