Here is my take on things:
1) I think the USA has very good intel on the location of the nukes
2) but there is NO WAY for them to be sure if they have all the locations
3) this uncertainty forces them and whoever else to settle for the long drawn out, even permamanet strategy of keeping a close watch and control on Pakistan army, the government and the terrorist groups
Since Pakistan's entire national identity has now come down to being the first nuclear muslim state, they are not going to give that up.
In summary, the current state of affairs of tension between Pakistan, all its neighbors, the USA will continue indefinitely. The pressure on Pakistan is the new normal.
