ahemm.. do you know of a fellow name Micheal Vaughan?

Well Michal Vaughn was a permanent player in team before he became Oneday captain. So there is no comparision.
Its another point that Vaughn didnt have any success in Onedayers.

If he wasn't a permanent player in the one day team then how come he got the captaincy.
Same deal with Azhar Mahmood.

Point well made... But I would have really appreciated had he identified some one as the future captain. I do not see some one with captaincy material and specially one who is a bowling all rounder.
Abdul Razzaq is calm and composed and relaxed but then maybe a bit passive...
Azhar Mehmood has yet to make his place in the ODI Team...
Suggestions... who else ? Please no Younis Khan...

as javed has said, one learns more from losing than from winning...i'll take the loss in a meaningless tournament like the NatWest if it leads to a better performance in the future. there is no one on the current team who is suited to be captain aside from latif because the captain must himself be a solid contributer to the team and all the players on our team are inconsistent. i don't think, generally, wicket keepers make good captains. again, all-rounders are the best because they can always contribute with the other side of the ball if they fail on one. unfortunately, we don't have true all-rounders, only "bits and pieces" players.
