do you think just maybe, can he achieve more for philanthropy by getting involved in politics. Maybe the problem is not funding but the state. What is he could achieve an order of magnitude more through politics?
Good question! But the short answer is no.
Pakistani state and people have always good to the "true philanthropists". Eidhi and many smaller organizations are good examples.
International NGOs are truly envious of Pakistani philanthropists. Eidhi, Agha Khan and countless others have done more than many Western NGOs combined.
And that would not have been possible without the generosity of ordinary Pakistanis, and a favorable attitude of successive Pakistani governments.
Imran Khan's politics is misdirected because he is a misfit in the profession of politics.
