Imran Khan - Pakistan's cornered tiger

Re: Imran Khan - Pakistan's cornered tiger

Desi I dont know what is your back ground but your statements does sound like of an educated but biased hindu banyan. As far as Imran is concern, he is a proud pathan and Pakistan. He is educated, may have experienced western life like most of us, but I think people who adopt islamic way of life after experiencing western way of life are better human being and better muslims, since they know both way of life and choose the best (Islamic). FYI islam is not just a religion it is a complete code of life. Unfortunately, many muslims are believers of Islam but are not true followers of codes of Islam.

Islam always teaches moderation, and extremism in any form could be bad, but it doesn't mean Islamic parties or Talibans were bad. As an indian, Kashmiris and islamic fighters may look to you as terrorists but what would you call those organized, highly trained, and equiped with sophisticated weapons people who goes and rape innocent women and kill helpless people in the streets and houses of Kashmir, Pelastines and Baghdad?

I do condemn any brutality against humanity, but if you have a powerful, highly trained and equipt invador (lets not call enemy) on your land, and looting your resources and supressing your rights, and you don't have military might to match them, then what options you have? Only option left is Gurella war, and if you are weak in weaponary then your tactics (suicide bombing) may cause civilian casulaties, but unfortunately that is the only way you can force the mainstream peoples to ask the mighty power to stop brutalities.

I think most of so called terrorism in the world is because of supression of innocent, helpless people by mighty people. Lets hope we understand and respect everyone rights and bring peace, prosperity, hope and hapiness on the earth.

Re: Imran Khan - Pakistan's cornered tiger

^Hindu Banyan?you meant urdu speaking or mahajir..did'nt you?thats racist.that speech was uncalled for we were discussing Imran Khan...not terrorism.I was not trying to bash Imran Khan I was just trying to point out how he has changed as a person over the years.

Re: Imran Khan - Pakistan's cornered tiger

^thats b.s.he never had a drink in his life i guess he never had pre-marital sex either...and i guess he does'nt have an illegal child either from sita white.give me a break.ofcourse he would have denied all those things being a famous pakistani as you have to otherwise you get into trouble with people here especially if you are planning a career in politics.I don't think doing all those things make him less of a star than he is...so whats wrong in admitting that he did those things?.

Re: Imran Khan - Pakistan's cornered tiger

WTF? Shoib Akhtar is an alcoholic now? Did you find him at your local rehab centre?

Re: Imran Khan - Pakistan's cornered tiger

Most amazing thing about Imran was that as a captain in 48 matches his average was 52 with the bat and 20 with the ball.
I don,t think that anyone is ever going to match this performance again.
Because for a Allrounder captaincy is a very difficult job in it self and that too captainining a pakistani side in any era is 1 of the most difficult jobs in World Cricket(to put it mildly).
Sobers maybe regarded as a best All Rounder of all times but Imran is definitely Best Captain All rounder of all times.
Look How Freddie is struggling?

Re: Imran Khan - Pakistan's cornered tiger

Very true. Freddie is not even as good as Botham yet IMO. Freddie has to match his last Ashes performance for a good 5-6 years both home and away before he can be rated alongside the other great all-rounders

Re: Imran Khan - Pakistan's cornered tiger

desi dude Imran may have drunk on the odd occasion. No one's perfect but as a general rule he avoided alcohol and most accounts from his many friends in England verify that

Re: Imran Khan - Pakistan's cornered tiger

Asif, this guy is trying to act cool and then throw as much trash on Pakistan, Islam and pakistani legends (e.g. Imran) as he could.

On one hand he is preaching we are talking and discussing cricket and on other hand he is pointing stuffs regarding players personal life.

Personal life is a matter between an individual and his/her creature. When we talk about achievements of a person we should limit ourselve to the career of a person not his/her personal life.

Should we take away all the greatness from leaders like Jinnah, Ghandi, Nehru, one ex Indian PM who used to drink pee (urine), Clinton etc just because they have some weaknesses in their personal lives. No! we should appreciate their achievements and leave their personal lives alone. Yes we should talk about personal lives if we are talking about a preist, rabbi or Imam, since those are suppose to be our role models, but when talk about politics or sports, we should discuss career wise achievements not personal life.

Re: Imran Khan - Pakistan's cornered tiger

^cricketfan I am not trying to act cool for anyone.you don't like my opinions don't read them.u r trying to prove u r a racist by saying that i am a hindu banyan.keep your pathetic racism for someone off line and just naff off.Imran Khan is more than just a cricketer he is a legend..his personal life is of interest to most people who admire him.I did'nt judge him.I just said thats how he was.
