No the point is you embarrased yourself by laughing at someone who outachieved anyone in the current history of Pakistan.

In case you missed it…here are just some of his accomplishments:

Now lets analyze Imran Khan, shall we:

He studied at Oxford.

He became the pride of Pakistan when he started playing cricket and won the Championship.

He single handedly started the Help yourself culture, by building the first-ever Cancer hospital at no cost to the poor for treatment.

He preferred Pakistan and his religion over Wealth, which is why the distance between him and his wife grew, is why the separated because he was spending more time worrying about Pakistan. Or else he could very easily have gone to reside in UK and live in luxury like some “claim to be leaders” that we know of.

He is the honorable Chancellor of University of Bradford, an honor which makes Pakistan proud, an accomplishment for the civilian and educated few to pride themselves on. Mind you he’s the University’s 5th Chancellor till date, an honor for the honorworthy indeed.

He is still intent on continuing to better Pakistan from within, a recent example is the College he’s building in Mianwali because people there have to travel quite a distance to get quality education.

He spoke up for Justice and against atrocities and named his party after that ambition. While Lota league cashed in on the prior votebank of Nawaz and Co.

Now without being lame, either you can accept those facts or reject them.
I wouldn’t be surprised if you laughed this one off too because that’s usually the answer when you don’t have any other.

Lets clarify, i don’t have any hate against him. Now here we go.

Five minutes into it I am already pissed off at what he’s saying…
Completely denying that any Taliban existed before the Army went in, and then started killing Civilians. Arguing that Mullah Fazlullah in Swat was leading a “movement for Justice”. Pathetic.

Should i have to say anything on resignations from NA?

** I don’t have time to point out all his failures.

Here are my observations:
**
Economy)** I don’t think he really thought it through, and his plan of an economically liberalized welfare state is most likely unfeasible. Did TI manifesto says anything about it?

**Democracy) **His ideas of democracy are a bit unrealistic in the foreseeable future.His entire world revolved around the independent judiciary. Now, I can see where he is coming from, and understand why an independent judiciary (something that Pakistan hasn’t really ever had for most of its life) would be important… however I doubt if doing this will ensure or sustain a true democracy in the long run. He takes his inspiration from India and uses it as a model upon which Pakistan should be built. However this too IMO is an unrealistic goal since the basic governmental and social structures are nothing alike. If he really wants to recreate the Indian model (which has 60 years and a major economic boom behind it) then he has to push for a complete paradigm shift which goes way beyond just an independent judiciary. Make Sense ?

**Politics) **His political strategy is flawed at its very core. He is essentially courting two groups:
the tribals (on account of his heritage)
the educated urban youth who take to him on account of his celebrity status.

The problem is that both these groups are pretty much the opposites of each other..and IMO he is using Islam as a common thread to somehow unify these two segments of his support base. I don’t think its going to work because religion isn’t nearly as strong and efficient a matrix as one would imagine (even in the Islamic world). Also, I found it a bit troubling that he completely sidestepped his Islam policy.. to me it indicates that he radically shifts his bid based on the audience.

Conclusion He is sick. He is too out of touch with reality. Nonetheless, a great cricketer & philanthropist. Said Enough.
