though the person is dead, ALLAH knows what goes on with him. but its not really any good to make a "shaheed" and "hero" out of a person who was an absconded killer. who was expelled from his own party by his own boss. who faced serious restrictions on his travel. with whom nobody from his own party was allowed to talk to and keep a contact for years. who was later "pardoned" by the mafia boss and now killed. specially when so called "best" and the most experienced police and investigation organization could not find his killer (or actually not allowed to proceed further by their own govt due to obvious reasons).
and funny how they hold the whole city hostage on funeral of a person like him... first killed 100s when he got murdered, and now this...
and this exclusive coverage by our so called "independent media" of funeral of a person who had above profile, and make it look like funeral of a "national hero", clearly shows what their agenda is these days. only pushing a gang of killers on national stage, making "leaders" and "martyrs" out of thin air...
Wasn't he suspended and literally excluded from the Mutahida Qatil Movement for the past two years or so. So how come after his death he became so important. He was not attending any meetings and was not invietd to any party stuff for some time now. and who is pay for this state funded funeral. Are the ppl of Pakistan paying taxes for ppl like these.

Ace... surprisingly there was less of noise made by MQM over the murder of Imran Farooq. No official mourning period was called. There was a mourning period called after the murder of the MPA Ahmed Raza couple of months back. But in reality that mourning period was the indication of a complete strike and sectarian violence in Karachi. However nothing like that happened after the murder of Imran Farooq. This does give indication on who was actually involved in this episode.
Imran Farooq was deposed as the party convener by the MQM’s Central Coordination Committee in May 2007 after being accused of violating the party discipline. Then, it was rumoured that Farooq had developed differences with Altaf Hussain after the May 12, 2007 killings in Karachi – the day Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Chaudhry landed in the port city to address a lawyers’ meeting. The MQM insiders say Farooq was sacked from the coveted party slot because Altaf Hussain believed he had simply failed to defend his party during a live Geo debate with Tehrik-e-Insaaf Chief Imran Khan on May 17, 2007 in London. The debate was held a few day after the Karachi carnage and Imran Khan’s subsequent move to approach the Scotland Yard and the British Law and Justice Department, seeking action against Hussain for his alleged involvement in the brutal killings.
