we shud be allowed to substitiute pieterson. look what the rules say:
If for any reason, Pakistan or England make changes to their pool of 16 & 15 players respectively, users will be allowed to update their fantasy team but they can ONLY substitute DROPPED PLAYERS by NEWLY ADDED PLAYERS (to the pool). No substitution will be allowed for players in the squad but not picked in the final 11.

^ are you serious? I had like at least 3 players who were dropped (or may be not =O) in Test series at one point or another. Now no changes should be allowed for onedays too

Diametric: Mate that's a whole load of bull. When a player is injured then that's a good enough reason to replace him, as that has nothing to do with his performance.

I think its about time that Ehsan bhai, saby, and DC should do something regarding this issue of not allowing the partcipants to change their teams in case of an unexpected exit of a player. This issue has been a point of discussion again and again and again during the last 2-3 competitions.
I am sure if they can accomodate afridi for any other allrounder in the middle of the ODI series, than they can also allow us to put any other batsman in place of pietersen.
It is something which majority wants here and I guess the organisers should respect what majority of the guppies are requesting. If they want they can have a poll.

Although you are making some sense but its hard to incorporate changes at the moment (may be in future series) and then you also have to realize that unlike having Daryl Hair, there is an equal amount of risk for everyone…

Here is what I suggest:
After this series and before the start of the Indian series Decent, Saby, Captain1 and yourself can draft new rules and see whether they can be implemented. You can canvass all the guppies and incorporate the most popular sugggestions. I think for this series we leave things as is otherwise it might create mess. Obviously all this will only be posiible if Decent agrees to continue to support this project, otherwise it will be back to the drawing board. I am sure people will have a lot of suggestions.

I know what'll make everyone stop complaining.
The winner has to post a video of him/her-self singing an indian song from the 60s. If they dont they will be banned from Cricketnama. Or barred from entering the next fantasy league. Something harsh. :p

Lets not change the rules for current series as suggested by Ehsan bhai (and others), just live with the ‘luck’ (or bad luck in some cases 
) that Pieterson got injured for this series. After this series is over, we can go over the rules for next fantasy league competition (for India series and onwards). Note down your suggestions now and when the rules are discussed later then you can share them with us

Ehsan bhai, thank you for this suggestion.
I strongly felt during the Ashes FC, which was my first ever entry in FC, that this rule of changing teams during the competition should be implemented, in a manner which should be fair to all and should not give undue advantage to few participants.
From time to time, different guppies raised that point including me. However most of the time we were doing it on an individual level and not as a group. For a change I saw posts from few guppies (LUC, j.pathan and others) back to back and thought that we all should support this as a group now.
Alot of us incorporated afridi in our teams yesterday and thats why most of us thought that including someone else in place of pietersen is also possible. However I understand that making such requests at the eleventh hour might create problems.
I would like to thank DC for his sincere and wonderful efforts in making this competition more and more entertaining. I would also thank you and saby for supporting this competition. We all understand that without the 3 of you, this competition is NOT possible.
Its a wonderful idea of drafting new rules before Pak India FC :k:

Ehsan Bhai, I totally disagree...Why wait for the next series?? If efforts were made to let people include Afridi, something can be done to let people replace Pieterson as well. If Afridi was so pyara to people, they could have added him in the first place and then live with him not playing the first 2 matches.
In this case, as Afridi was allowed in, once he was playing for Pakistan, people sould be allowed to change Pieterson, as he will no longer be taking part in the competition. If nothing is done, that is just a whole series going down the drain for people who have chosen him, and that does not sound fair at all, considering efforts were made to let people choose someone after 2 matches.
People with Pieterson should be allowed to replace him with another Batsman. This wont take that much effort. Same steps can be taken and a link can be put up on the site with the same functionality as Afridi. Would hardly take 20 25 minutes for someone who knows what hes doing.

Kakay: Decision to let Afridi be added in the competition later on was made before the competition had begun, everybody knew that Afridi will be allowed to be added later.

man i was so close to topping the list … i’m ied at 2nd with 3 ppl… and now my skunky is gone …
we shud be alowed to change after every game. or at least one or two changes every game so we dont play with 8 ppl like i did in tests
