OK some people who live here get hitched to some nice girl there, go back get married have a nice wedding ceremony come back and spend their lives together. This word 'import' is so demeaning and crude, dont you think?

Nothing wrong with importing/exporting your wife, if you think she is the one.

  • Location/Race doesn’t matter. Religion must be considered or atleast discussed.

  • Importing/Exporting a wife because you are shy or mama’s boy or no girl in your neighbor would consider you or you believe in arrange marriages etc. these reasons simply need a consideration before you destroy two live simultaneously.

the most important thing is not to assume anything. dont assume girls or guys back home will be more shareef or more liberal or more anything than the ones here. get to know them and their family before you get into something. It is good to be honest about expectations and your values before you commit.
