1st Divine Sercrets of the Ya-Ya sisterhood (a little sad)
2nd the president's daughter (very cute)
3rd Playing for Pizza - haven't seen this one but knw of John Grisham (have read some of his books) this one should be good.
Thanks Rabia :-) I just realized that Diving Secrets and The President's Daughter are both movies as well. Were you referring to the books or the movies?
You know that's usually the case with Austen's books, as PSquared mentioned, it takes a little bit to get into them. But once you start reading you get swept away! Do you think you'll end up joining the book club after all? ;-)
I never got into Pirates of the Caribbean... I mean, yeah Johnny Depp does look hot in an awkward, make me feel uncomfortable kind of way. Otherwise it just didn't captivate me.
So I got Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood (Rebecca Wells), The President's Daughter (Mariah Stewart) and Playing for Pizza (John Grisham). Any suggestions on what I should start first?
Couldn't get into Divine Secrets of Ya-Ya Sisterhood. So don't start with that. Don't know about the other two (although president's daughter sounds familiar)....you could eeny, meeny, miney mo it. That's helped me make a lot of decisions in life, LOL, kidding. Playing for Pizza sounds interesting. Start with that first!
Thanks Rabia :-) I just realized that Diving Secrets and The President's Daughter are both movies as well. Were you referring to the books or the movies?
^the movies... but i m pretty sure the books would be much better.
Hahaha, redvelvet that seems like a pretty fail-safe method for making tough decisions. I just wouldn't rely on it for choosing a future hubby ;-)
Alright, I will get started on Playing for Pizza! But I don't usually care for Grisham's stuff that doesn't fall in the legal genre. Have you ever tried reading him?
And Rabia, you're right! The books are ALWAYS better!!
sorry i feel like i m getting in a two ppl conversationg...but oh well
i have read Grisham's book a time to kill (they have a movie too) i really like it, not a great book but a good read.
if u guys like suspanse stuff try books by james patterson.
PSquared, Collide......do u guys fantasize about travelling to a particular country? I would one day like to go to France and enjoy the beauty and culture of Paris and try French cuisine especially the breads, cheeses, sauces, and PASTRIES. I think Ratatouille has gotten to me. And I wanna see Venice! The idea of a city built along canals is fascinating to me......don't know how to swim.....and the green water seems dirty......so that would be scary......but otherwise fascinating. And to be able to KNOW what a real authentic pizza tastes like!!!!! OMG! Let's not forget the pasta dishes! Speaking of pizza, Reha, you're lucky you live in Chicago cuz I love deep dish pizza. Thankfully, in Orlando, the nearest Uno's is not too far from where I live.
Collide, I've heard that Chinese food in America tastes nothing like the Chinese food in China. I've heard the American version is much sweeter. Which do you like better. And I get the impression the Chinese are friendly with foreigners....are they?
I am recent addition into the insomnia world..:|..I had an abdominal surgery 2 months ago and after the surgery, I completely lost my sleep. It was so bad in the beginning that I would stay up all day and night in the hospital. I finally had to take sleeping pills and I also tried melatonin for a few days. Alhumdulillah, I am now able to sleep on my own some nights. I MISS my sleep..I used to sleep like a little baby!..a good 9-10 hrs uninterrupted sleep! I still dont understand what happened that caused me to lose sleep...people are telling me i will be fine in a few months and my sleep will become regular. I hope they are right.
