Aww, thanks love. You have no idea how much I needed that. There is a thread in Life 1 where a poster has forgotten the long vowel phoneme of “ie” and has used “ye” instead. It deeply depresses me. I must refrain from correcting them.

Congrats Catty. When I told people about my thesis topic, I was beeing asked these "Are you stupid?" questions too. :D
My topic was: "Economic Relations between the European Union and Asia with particular reference to Pakistan - Previous developments and Future perspectives"

^ r u for real. the EU would never expand beyond its european borders. yes they have bilateral trade deals with many countries, and with south africa they have a special trade agreement. Thats why its called ‘the european union’

Yes he's right the EU does have interests in Africa, like I said the EU has trade agreements with many other countries and multilateral organisations - that's how these organisations work - the purpose of the EU is to represent the economic interests of its members as a whole, so that they have a stronger bargaining position with the rest of the world.
The EU has been strongly critisized for its agreements with South Africa though, as they put a lot of conditions for allowing preferential trading rights to African countries. Like for example south africa produces a lot of wine, but its not allowed to label its wine as 'champagne' or 'graca' or 'shiraz' as France thinks those names are exclusive to its wines. But thats just an example. Theres tonnes of stuff on the EU on the internet.

Rukhsar, there came many a time I was just ready to give and say to hell with this. But my parents and family were constantly on my case lol so bit by bit I finally finished it. thanks :)
