IKEA hijabs

Re: IKEA hijabs

QUOTE=RashGuyI* dont believe that this is a very sound argument. When you are in rome try to do as the romans do. Dont act or behave in a manner that is contrary to the excepted norms in the country. In Saudi for eg westerners would have to behave differently. They will have to adjust to the local norms. In any society the domineering power would be the locals. If it is within your power to change something try so within the system. Suicide bombing would not be a very good idea.*

What is this got to do with suicide bombing. can we have any discussion without mentioning out of context sentences?

Anyway, as for saudi....showing naked legs and showing chest is not considered good in even many places in west and places of work. Read dress code of many state and federal gov. offices in US for example. Now do you think the argument will be entertained by the govt. if anyone wants to jt come and wear anything they want? No dress code in S. Arab promotes nudity. All religeons promote modesty..its just some muslims who want to keep it so whats the big deal?

QUOTE:*It is very easy to say that I would behave in a way I like. It does not work so in civilised countries.*QUOTE

civilised countries? All so called civilised countries promote freedom but why its not for muslims or any religeous person to have freedom?
When people have freedom to pierce their whole body and paint in anyway they want then what's a big deal in wearing full clothes and a scarf? Heck, people have 'freedom to walk naked or almost naked in public then why being so sensitive againts poor religeous people?

People say do not judge people by the way they look so why it does not apply to religeous people?

QUOTE:*On the contrary it leads to a feeling of separation between the communities. All things said and done, there are people who are paranoid when they see muslims. I dont have to explain the reason why so.. *

We call paranoid people sick and they need treatment and not that someone just try to change their way of life and clothings just to apease anyone who is paranoid. Its the media who created paranoid behaviour and its the people who watch the media why blame majority of the majority of muslims?

If people are so dumb that they want to accept and believe few bad people then who's fault is that?

QUOTE:Anywhere on the planed you go, you can meet people who are dissatisfied and write books. Hope you get the point.

Why there is an automatic defence against someone from west who wrote and said anything against west being 'dissatisfied' but when a moulvi talks against
a country law he called a 'fundamentalist' as if its a bad thing?

Calling for violence and bombing by anyone against anyone is wrong.

Oh! I just said something like 'peacenick' God save me from right wing sickos!:)
