As kids, I dressed up my baby brother in a dress, sun hat, heels and make-up, but he ran when i pulled out the camera. I think he's blocked it out of his brain now it was so embarrassing for him.

If you ever do catch your husband or your brother doing something like this, you might want to have a talk before taking him to the psychiatrist.
Anyway, its actually a cultural taboo, where its ok for a girl to dress like cowboys with a mustache, or a bearded Lincoln or in Pakistani circles Maula Jat but anything the other way around will be considered something very very disturbing.

Yes, I think women were not allowed to act in Japanese theatre and so men filled the female stage roles right? Now they call them female impersonators. Cher and Bette Midler are the most cherished I believe.
But culturally I guess it’s thought of as empowering for a female to have male qualities. But a man is degraded if he exhibits female traits.

Yes, interesting question. On the one hand, one can view it as a male trying to understand his feminine side, or better yet, trying to understand his wife. On the other hand, you can view it as some mental switch flippin' in the huband's brain.
