^ Again it's a matter of opinion. why you are so certain that defence industry only contributes to death of civilians!
In peace time there are no civilian deaths caused by actions of military. There might be few cases but on bigger canves, those losses are nothing in comparision to possible mass civilian deaths and destruction in absense of these defence forces.
Pick any history book about civil wars resulted by WEAK/nonexitent defence forces and do a comparision.
