Know of a case where The Mayo Clinic Doctors told this Cancer patient to go home he had only few months to live they had already removed his spleen but the cancer had spread to other organs, it was in the Lymph system. this Man went to Florida where a Naturalist put him on raw vegetable and seeds diet along with Fruits and nuts diet and lots of herbal tea. Man is still Live and well many years later................Doctors have some cures but there are other medicines for those who want different ways of health restoration.
Suppose you are a doctor and you know patient won't survive with the type of cancer he/she has. Would you still go on n recommend having done chemotherapy [keeping in mind the toxicities caused by those drugs]? Yes, as a professional doc you should but still do u think its fair for the patient to suffer more pain that he/she already in?
[note the bold part]
wat kind of silly question is this!? This scenario is nowhere near realistic. Let me explain:
if the doctors KNOW the patient will not survive for long (based on current scientific knowledge) the patients are not given very intense cures of chemotherapy. The only thing they give is palliative therapy to relieve the symptoms as much as possible. e.g. if someone has a metastasized melanoma (basically end stage) the docs only give therapy if and when needed for palliation of symptoms.
Moreover, if a tumor is such that there are ongoing clinical trials to see if a new medication might work, the patient is asked if s/he wants to participate in such trail (informed consent).
No normal doc would give full scale therapy to a patient knowing that the patient will die soon, meaning that therapy won't have any curing effect in any case.
The only instance persons are given full scale treatment is if a -realistic- chance of survival exists.
moreover, in those cases when a chance is still taken to give full treatment to someone who has very slim chances of survival you soon enough find out whether or not the treatment had some effect, and you (dis)continue with the treatment based on that.
EMM, i ithink if i was the doctor then i would still tell the patient and advise them on treatment. The reasons for my decision is so that any pain or discomfort the patient is suffering from would hopefully be relieved. Would it not be best to give them treatment to reduce thier symptoms to make the remains few days of thier lives a little bit easier. To improve thier quality of life?
I think i would still go with the treatment even after knowing the toxicities. If it gives a small chance of living that tiny bit longer but you not go for it. Obviously the doctor should have balanced the PRO's and CON's of the treatment.
Lets suppose you are a medical doctor for a moment. A patient comes to you with sign n symptoms of anorexia, fever, malaise n all the symptoms of Malignant tumor.
Keep in mind malignant tumor means no turning back, which means patient will be suffering from the metastasizing [spreads organ to organ depending on the tumor] and then have to stand the torture of Chemotherapy.
Cancer itself is deadly n then various drugs that you have to take have tremendous side affects. Starting from renal failure to bone marrow depression to sterility n what not.
My Question:

Another Question:
Pretend you are a patient and doc told you the toxicities of therapy - would you still go for it?
If I were a doc and I knew that the patient's chances of survival were 0% for sure, I would probably recommend alternative medicine therapy.
In response to the post above mine ---> Why would doctors recommend alternative medicine? It doesn’t get any “Rokra” in their pocket. They will keep the patient on the chemo until they leech every penny out of the insurance plan in the name of health care. They will give the patient this false hope with the specific words (skillfully selected) while recommending chemotherapy or any therapy, even if they know the chances of survival are next to none. Conventional medicine is systematically corrupt and greed based as any other capitalistic business. Just wait and see things unveil in the near future.

Q 1) I would still go for the chemotherapy
Q2) Yes
Reason: I don't think that we have any right to take others or ours lives.
