my name has a sweet meaning to it too - i'm happy wid my name - but if i ever had to change if for sum reason or another, i would like the name Malaika...

I have two friends by that name, but they spell it as Quratalain - and guess what, they absolutely hate their name, i think its a nice name as it has a religious meaning to it...

Dont name your girls "Saima" anymore. I went to co-ed school in Lahore till year 5 and in every class i had at least 5 Saimas there :) hahaha
But trend is changing now I think, people are looking for some unique names..... Thank God

i thought girls names such as Samina, Amina, Fozia, Shakeela, Sobia, were more common....

See told u....also can i add for guys the most common ones i've heard are Hussain, Majid, Sajid, Kamran, Sadiq, Wajid, Ali....

And if you move a bit to the village sides of Punjab you will find names like
Males: Allah Rakha, Allah Ditta, Bashir hussain, Asmat ulla
Females: Sakeena, Razia, Jantaay, Billay, Billo

I know, but would u beleive i dont have any cousins or family members by either of the names we have mentioned so far as 'common' - no offence to anyone...

i like my name…its unique…I’m betting the majority of u will nvr come across any one with a name like mine. It has a nice meaning(s) too.
The only problem is…people..mainly desi’s tend to screw up the pronunciation
