i just had a sudden reminder of my Nana who used to yell at us girls if we sat ā€œindian styleā€ at family quran khanis/fatihas :cb:

i never understood why that upset him so much. he would make us sit with both legs closed & folded to one sideā€¦

Just relating to some girls I know, who sit like this and their perception behind it..this behaviour could be due to other reasons in different people..but this was what i came across
