most FOBs are perceived to be idiots by foreign-born desis, even though back home they might be the coolest people around. if you try to act too 'nice', like many FOBs do, you come across as an idiot.

most academically brilliant people nowadays tend to be dorks and geeks, although you do still find the occasional smart guy/gal who's not only brilliant but also socially adept and suave!
