I think regarding the 3rd umpires there should be consistency. Either they are part of all the decisions or they are part of the line decisions only. I don't think the referral system will work entirely when the field umpires will have the option to refer to the 3rd unpires for any decision. Umpires i think will be more under pressure thinknig that they might look stupid asking for the 3rd umpires views for every decision. I remember couple of occasions in 2002 when the similar trial was undertaken. On couple of occasions field unpire didn't bother to ask the 3rd umpire althought they were very close lbw decisions.
