Pakistan plays their first warm-up match against Sri Lanka tomorrow @ 12:30 GMT. (About 12 hours from now.)
Anyone know who is showing this in US?
Direct TV on Tv and willow online.
Check the ICC rankings again. ![]()
In all honesty, I wouldn't characterize a 46 run win as "crushed" - by that account, SL's earlier win over India by 139 runs in the previous match could be termed as "demolished".
IMO, India is a pretty strong contender alongside SL, and SA.
Who won the cup?That matters.
^And we just need to know who will be the Runner-Up in CT....
India will be the winners :)
We will most probably come back after the first round. This team looks like a team from the early 2000s. Come on Rahul Dravid and Ashish Nehra. Who next?? Hemang Badani and Balaji??

^ The fact that they lost in the warm up game makes me even more confident that they will do well in the Chapions Trophy ![]()
All the best to Team India :k:
I think CT organisers have got it right this time by excluding minnows from the format - only eight teams, 15 matches and two venues. The shorter format should help bring back the appeal of 50-over games to fans and players alike. West Indies sending a depleted team to CT however takes something away from the tournament.
The 2007 World Cup for instance was way too long - lasted something like 5 weeks! - had too many weak teams and days between games. Admittedly we were knocked out by Ireland but a World Cup is not the place to give international exposure to weak teams. I hope the ICC officials w'd stick to the same format for 2011 Cricket World Cup as well - maybe have two more teams or 10 teams altogether split into two groups of 5 each.
Tournament favourites SA & SLA clash tomorrow

Dropping Razzaq for Champions Trophy ‘big mistake: Akram
LAHORE: Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Akram has criticised the cricket selectors for ignoring all-rounder Abdul Razzaq for the ICC Champions Trophy, saying they have made a ‘big mistake’ by leaving out the experienced player. “The Pakistan selectors have made an error in leaving Razzaq out of the squad for the Champions Trophy. They have made a big mistake by not selecting him and the team will miss his hitting power down the order and his bowling too in South Africa. “I was very surprised when I saw the squad and noted that Razzaq wasn’t named. If it had been up to me I would have left out Shoaib Malik,” Akram said. Commenting on the young guns of the team, Akram, who played for Pakistan from 1995 to 2001, said he is particularly impressed by the young pace sensation Mohammad Aamer. “Aamer has been very impressive. Provided he stays fit and in form, he will be a great find for Pakistan,” Akram told PakPassion.net. When asked which team he thinks would lift the coveted Champions Trophy this time, Akram said the Championship would go to one of the three participating Asian teams. “In my opinion I think one of the Asian teams will be champions this time around,” he said.

^ On a serious note it is ridiculous that the rankings can change after every match. They should stay for a fixed period of time, like a month.
or they should wait until a tournament or test series is completely finished
