Re: ICC Champions Trophy 9th Match: Oct 26th, India V West Indies, Ahmedabad

I don’t think this is going to happen.

Pakistan will most likely be playing semi final # 1 on Nov. 1st, if they qualify (Inshallah), as it is going to be A1 vs B2. Chances are that it is going to be Windies vs winner of Pak-SA

Semi-final # 2 (B1 vs A2) will most likely be featuring Newzealand and winner of India-Australia.

I am pissed of with team selection. How come RP Singh gets preference over Sreesanth and Zaheer. How much chances are we going to give to Sehwag. Looking at the 15 guys in team right now..I will simply drop RP, Sehwag & Raina from the team and bring in Powar, Mongia & Kaif. Let them ask either Mongia or Dravid to open in place of Sehwag or let Irfan open ( Anway he plays at no 3 and does nothing).

After the tournament they need to bring in either Gambhir, Jafar or any other new guy in place of Sehwag and let him rest for a while. I wont even mind Ganguly at his place. Fire Raina and stick with Mongia for while. Bring in Zaheer and Sreesanth also in 15. We may have to stick with Irfan more just to find out if he is the allrounder that can bring balance in the team.

Stop dreaming.. Both India and Pak are out of it.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 9th Match: Oct 26th, India V West Indies, Ahmedabad

Ya you r right but Guru Greg Chappell is busy with his experiments and I'm not in favour of Ganguly coz he is good for nothing.

Shoo, Kahan Kahan say yeh dil jalay aa jatay hain. :(

It will be a real shame if there is no team from the sub continent in the semis. I am hoping at least one of the 4 will make it, two are already out, two are just about there.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 9th Match: Oct 26th, India V West Indies, Ahmedabad

You know just few mins back I made a call to Ahemdabad just to confirm that my ticket had been sold or not. I had to go with my friends early in the morning for today’s match but I didn’t make plan coz of my timing problem, but I’m happy to know my friends have sold my ticket in black :hehe:

^ no just today..:hehe:

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 9th Match: Oct 26th, India V West Indies, Ahmedabad

I agree with f&b. They shuold at least have played Mongia instead of Raina. Raina becharay ki kahani shru honay se pehlay hee khatam ho gayee hai.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 9th Match: Oct 26th, India V West Indies, Ahmedabad

RP Singh is completely useless with his 70mph trundling match-winning capabilities. The guy is worse than Agarkar and Sami, combined. I am baffled as to why in the world would they even consider him for selection, let alone picking him in the final eleven.

Both of your posts above have made sense. Gautam Gambhir should be given a green signal for the next handful of games to see how he fares, however, he, just like his partner-in-crime Sehwag, have little to none feet movement, but pretty decent hand-eye coordination.

Raina for Mongia - that is a close call. Good points, nonetheless.
