Windies almost did it. Wickets are the key when you are defending a modest total of 230-260 (modest by today's standards). Windies bowlers struck at regular intervals and apart from Gilchrist, noone really got going for Australia

GAYLE FINED AFTER CLARKE CLASHES
West Indies batsman Chris Gayle has been fined 30% of his match fee for breaching the International Cricket Council’s code of conduct during Wednesday’s Champions Trophy victory over Australia.
The tall left-hander, who was involved in a number of verbal clashes with Australia batsman Michael Clarke, was found guilty of failing to “conduct play within the spirit of the game” by match referee Mike Procter after a hearing in Mumbai.
Clarke was found not guilty of the same charge in a separate hearing.
“What started off as banter between the two players got out of hand and Chris Gayle went over the top in his reactions,” said Procter.
"We do not want robots on the field and we want to ensure players play with enthusiasm and passion.
“We saw a great deal of that during an excellent match on Wednesday but there is a line between what is acceptable and what is not and Chris crossed it.”
