I agree he is a better captain, once we get rid of thuss patakhay and include new blood in the team then we see a much much better captain, I add we want to see Sarfraz, the batsman, batting at 4th position he is much better batsman then lots of other in the team right now, he doesn’t waste balls and is very good in rotating the strike. :k:
Australia are such a quality ODI side packed with explosive players. They make batting look so easy. I hope they win today
The top ODI quartet imo is Australia, India, England and South Africa
Actually a better Champions Trophy format imo would be top 6 teams competing with each other in a league format (cf 1992 WC) i.e. 5 games each >> top 4 qualifying for semis >> final
Most of it because of Ill-planned tournament…where the organizers not only totally ignored the weather conditions but also didnt have extra day for a re-match in raun affected match…
Australia have been the victim here…
One bad match and they are out of tournament…Austaliasia Cup in Sharjah use to have better planning and format
After 30 overs, Australia were 170 odd for 3 and on course to score 330 +/- but that was very good captaincy by Eoin Morgan bringing back his strike bowlers Wood and Rashid early on during the final 10 overs rather than waiting till the very end. Australia batted well but they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Jason Roy’s catch near the boundary to dismiss Maxwell was quite superb and possibly the turning point of the match.
i think this match is fixed…England is losing on purpose to keep BD out of the tournament. unbeaten team so far like England losing 3 quick wickets suggest the match is fixed. if that’s the case, England is digging it’s own grave as they may be defeated by Aussies in the final…that will be real irony!
