ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Other Games

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Other Games

I agree he is a better captain, once we get rid of thuss patakhay and include new blood in the team then we see a much much better captain, I add we want to see Sarfraz, the batsman, batting at 4th position he is much better batsman then lots of other in the team right now, he doesn’t waste balls and is very good in rotating the strike. :k:

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Other Games

Group A: England v Australia at Birmingham, Jun 10, 2017

England won the toss and elected to field

Australia would be aiming for 350+…a safe total…

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Other Games

Good start by Aussies. Its just amazing to see their running b/w the wickets.

There was a time when Pakistani running was very agile as well. Miandad and post-miandad era in particular. But after 2000 I believe its all stagnant.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Other Games

Australia are such a quality ODI side packed with explosive players. They make batting look so easy. I hope they win today

The top ODI quartet imo is Australia, India, England and South Africa

Actually a better Champions Trophy format imo would be top 6 teams competing with each other in a league format (cf 1992 WC) i.e. 5 games each >> top 4 qualifying for semis >> final

i.e. 5+1+1 or 7 games to win CT

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Other Games

That’s how you should bat in ODIs. Get your first hundred in 18 or 19 overs

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Other Games

Australia losing wickets at the wrong time

Smith gone just when he looked set for a big one

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Other Games

I guess it is curtains for Australia!!!

Most of it because of Ill-planned tournament…where the organizers not only totally ignored the weather conditions but also didnt have extra day for a re-match in raun affected match…

Australia have been the victim here…

One bad match and they are out of tournament…Austaliasia Cup in Sharjah use to have better planning and format

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Other Games

England to chase: 278

England bowled well in the death overs while the Aussies played so poorly against the spin…

Looking forward to Mitchell Starc & Co…

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Other Games

After 30 overs, Australia were 170 odd for 3 and on course to score 330 +/- but that was very good captaincy by Eoin Morgan bringing back his strike bowlers Wood and Rashid early on during the final 10 overs rather than waiting till the very end. Australia batted well but they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Jason Roy’s catch near the boundary to dismiss Maxwell was quite superb and possibly the turning point of the match.

England favourites to win at the half way mark.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Other Games

Wicket is not very flat to bat on. Australia has fighting score. If they get few early wickets it will be not easy for English to reach 280

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Other Games

i think this match is fixed…England is losing on purpose to keep BD out of the tournament. unbeaten team so far like England losing 3 quick wickets suggest the match is fixed. if that’s the case, England is digging it’s own grave as they may be defeated by Aussies in the final…that will be real irony!

only rain can dispose off English plans…lolz

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Other Games

England struggling 35/3

Rain again mars a good contest

Pathetic decision to hold CT in England in June

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Other Games

but mine is an “educated” conspiracy theory! :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Other Games

I don’t understand the reason behind holding back to back CTs in England.

This year’s CT could have been held in UAE (with Pak as hosts). Aus, NZ, WI, Zimbabwe and Pakistan have yet to host the tournament

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Other Games

^ English baabaa e game jo Thehre…ubkii chaltii hai bas!

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Other Games

this match is following exactly the same footprint as BD…England is gonna win this game easily…

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Other Games

Australia is just another home-track bully. Know what happens when Australia tour Sri Lanka and India, UAE?

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Other Games

Talking about ODIs here. Even though Australia lost the test series 0-3 in Sri Lanka, they still dominated the ODIs and won 4-1

HowSTAT! ODI Series - Matches and Results

That said England about to force Australia out of the tournament

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Other Games

Hence proven, you are better off here in this tournament to bat second :smokin:
